We’re slowly trying to fix our house up to sell in the next year. It’s expensive to do so! Just the light fixtures we’ve replaced have cost a pretty penny. But I have had this fabric for a few years (see THIS post for a bike basket I made out of it) as well as the curtain rod and clips. Talk about putting off a project!
Here’s what we were dealing with for the (many) years of living here. It’s funny how you just learn to live with certain things, isn’t it?
Some of them are cracked, and that’s really as far as they reached because the rest had been broken. (It’s a bit hard to take good pictures of curtains with bright sunlight behind)
I actually sewed a blind hem. The fabric is such good, thick quality that I didn’t bother lining them.
I bought the fabric for $6.00/yard at Home Fabrics in Utah. They have the best home décor fabric for such amazing prices! The curtain rod and clips I bought at Joann for 60% off. So it was relatively inexpensive for everything.

The next couple weeks I’ll be posting a lot of baby stuff I’ve sewed up. Very simple, no tutorials for it because there are already a million out there for the things I’ve made.
I’m also going to be participating next week in Delia’s Play It Smart series. I’m really excited for this. She always comes up with the best ways to spend time with your kids!
Have a great weekend everyone! Thanks for stopping by. :)

The curtains are such a better option! I have some of those same broken verts hanging in my bedroom that I have been wanting to get rid of. Love the fabric as well. Question, did the pinch hooks come with the rod or did you peice those together? I have been looking for a way to do my own and hopefully save some money.

Super cute Christie! I have a bag that a friend made me before I had Wyatt, and I still love that print so much even after 6 years! I love seeing it as curtains! And I always kick myself for never going into Home Fabrics when I lived in Utah – we lived about a mile away and I never got around to it!

Oh it looks beautiful! It’s kinda sad how nice a house starts to look when you are about to move out.

So much better. I love the fabric! I hung some curtains from IKEA in our living room window with clips, and they make it so cozy in here. Maybe I will sew some for the bedroom this summer.
