When I made THIS basket from Noodlehead’s Divided Basket Pattern, I knew that I wanted to make one for my bedroom. I was determined to use fabric in my stash, so although I do like this fabric it’s hard not to buy some newer fabrics sometimes! I used this fabric to make THIS dress (which was a semi-fail but funny to look at! It was good however in that I vowed never to use quilting cotton for apparel sewing again).
We have a teeny tiny bathroom in our master bedroom and so all my hair stuff is crammed into this whicker basket without really being that functional—pull one thing out and 2 more fall out. Behind my dresser.
This is such a better option. My first basket I made I used the fusible fleece along with the interfacing. I thought I could get away with just the fusible fleece, but I think I probably should have used interfacing as well to make it a little more sturdy since the items inside are so heavy. It still works however better than the basket and is much prettier to look at.
Fabric is Joel Dewberry, Heirloom line in Citrine.
I hope you are doing well and thank you for reading!
