Today I realized that my oldest son starts 1st grade in 6 weeks. SIX WEEKS! And that means my middle child is right behind in kindergarten a couple weeks later. Sadness. There are 6 decades left in the Sew Through the Decades Challenge.
We’re just gonna have a change of plans is what we’re gonna do! Because I’m all grown up now and can do these types of things :).
I’d like to enjoy the rest of my summer with my kids as much as I can. If you’ve already completed your 50’s decade, that’s wonderful! Please post it in the flickr group and when we start again I’ll be sure to feature your items. Promise.
So the dates for the challenge are changing as follows:
September 12th-18th: 1950-1959
September 19th-25th: 1960-1969
September 26th-October 2nd: 1970-1979
October 3rd-9th: 1980-1989
October 10th-16th: 1990-1999
October 17th-23rd: 2000-2010
I’m hoping that this will help those of you participating as well. I will do some sewing this week, but only for a simple baby gift and cousin birthday gift. There might be a tutorial or two during the next six weeks, but really I just want to be making memories with my family!
I hope you are all enjoying your summer!
I’ll still be blogging. But I’ll also be a little more sane.
