It’s funny how there have been posts about this lately, all while I have been in the process of cleaning out my house. It’s great motivation.
We are hoping to get approved for a loan to build a home in the next year (haven’t heard back though, so we’ll see–I hear it’s hard right now). So, I just wanted to get started on cleaning up our home to sell as I feel like we just have a ton of STUFF. It could take a while to get this place organized and de-junked.
One of the things I am doing right now is cleaning out my fabric pile. I’ve been given boxes and bags of fabric. A lot of it dates back to the 60’s. Plus, I just might have a slight addiction to fabric, which aids in me purchasing fabric that I have no idea what to use it for. I have a TON. And most of it I really have no plans for!
I am putting that to a stop. Well, not necessarily buying fabric for something, but I am going to try my best to purchase fabric only when I have a project in mind–and only when I am ready to do it. If you are like me, you always have a lot of projects going on in your head…but finding the time to do them is a whole different story!
I had no idea until I put these pictures on my computer that my 5 year old had taken them. What’s amusing—besides that I look like a dork in them, is the fabric on my lap! Ha ha ha! Sabra and I had a good laugh about this particular fabric. I was thinking of offering it for free besides shipping, but honestly, I think it is going to the thrift store.
I’m in the process of taking pictures and measuring a lot of my fabric to SELL:). Yee-haw. It’s gonna be great. So stay tuned. Here is the pile of fabric I’m selling. Anyone just want to buy the whole thing right now and make it easy on me ;) ?
Oh yes, I have a question for you! How do you organize your scraps of fabric? I hate to waste it when you can use it on cards, rolled flowers, etc. But I hate looking in the box because it just seems like a big mess! Any tips???
Hope everyone has a great weekend!
