Today I decided it would be fun to have a round-up of some useful photography tips and information. So here we go! Oh, and since I am no photographer, these tips might not be the correct way to do things, and who am I to even know that!? Ha ha!
The photos you see in the pictures are just my own practices.
I am so just barely touching on the subject! I wish I had more time to do this post because I would link to a LOT more, but here are some I’ve found helpful.
1) How to Shoot into the Sun:
You’ve probably seen it everywhere, people using the sun as a beautiful setting behind their subjects. I am in love with this look and I think lots of you probably are, too. I’ve been practicing at it more and more, and have found a few helpful posts about it.
2) Tips on Photographing Newborns:
Don’t have enough money to spend on really great newborn pictures? Or just want to practice your take on them? I wish I had read up on this more before taking pictures for my friends’ newborn. I think I did ok, but these tips would have really helped me out!
Photography Tips – Part 2 (Cheri shows how some simple editing tools on Picnik will really improve your photos. In fact, I forgot all about her photography week that she did until I started looking for links. Click HERE to be directed to more photo tips on I Am Momma)
3) We’ve covered babies a bit, now let’s talk children. Here are a few great posts I found on photographing your kids.
4) Editing your pictures. Even if you don’t have photoshop, you can use picasa, picnik, or other free or cheaper software. I found a ton using photoshop, but since I don’t own it, I thought it was better to find a couple that don’t use photoshop.

And here is a great before and after picture using a bit of picnik magic:
Ok, so here is the fun part. Know of some great photo tips or just have a favorite photography site? I have a LOT and will possibly link them myself! Link up their site here—we’ll have it run through Sunday. I’d love to check out what you find helpful!
