Hello all! Just a quick post to share a little file that I made for my kids to put in some notebooks for Light the World, an amazing challenge by the LDS church. We didn’t do every day last year, but even the days we did, it made Christmas more meaningful. Things are crazy busy this year while we try and finish up our house we’re building, so I wanted to be a little more organized this year. I LOVE the videos that go with each day! I made the printables using word for word what each day has as far as ideas and scriptures, so nothing is original, it is all from the LDS website. Just copied and pasted and made adjustments to font and sizing.
I wanted to challenge my kids to think on their own a little bit more this time. Not in grandeur acts of service, but simply so they can be more involved this time, but also have something for them to record their experiences and their ideas after they pray about what they can do. I have these and these notebooks (affiliate links) that I bought a while ago for another project that are the perfect size. They are about 3.25″ x 5.25″ and so the printables, once cut up in squares, fit perfectly into the notebooks. There are even a couple extra papers in case they want to write down any more thoughts or feelings.
We just used glue sticks to put them in our books.
And oh how I love love love the main video. I love everything about this challenge! It just makes me feel so happy, so full of hope!
