First off, happy Memorial Day! I am so thankful for the men and women who have in the past, and currently, sacrifice so very much for this country!
I sewed for myself. It’s been a while. I keep debating lately on whether or not to sew for myself because I want to get in shape and hopefully lose some inches, but it’s a slow process and in the meantime, people have some amazing patterns that I want to try!
So I guess I’ll either not lose anything and enjoy them, or they can be a little big if I do get my butt in gear :). I actually started running a month ago, but my knees give me major problems. So I took a couple week break. Yay, I get to start from the beginning again (read that sarcastically!). I have new shoes though (Altras this time) so I’m hoping that helps with the knee issues. Plus I’m trying to work out other muscles as well to help with the pain.
Anyway. Sewing. Here’s the shirt. I made it based on bust size, but I think I should have sized up one more. Hmm, me being bustier than I think I am? Not a likely scenario, ha! But it should fit beautifully after a month or two I hope.
Love the pop of color, even if I could improve on the zipper installation. I need to make the shirt wider at the base where the zipper ends so the color evenly shows through.
And I’m wearing the pants I made for Project Sewn, which you can see HERE. K, just one more awkward shot.
And, we’re done. Boy do I ever prefer taking/posting pictures of my kids! I have another Zippy Top cut out, but in a floral knit. We will see how long it takes me to get to it!
