Have you seen the new collection out by the fantastic ladies behind Pattern Anthology? They just released their latest patterns called Make [Believe] and I seriously love the details on these patterns. They are so fun!
I made up the size 5, and it’s a little short in the front. I should have just went with a size 6. This is my error, however, because I didn’t go off the measurements on the pattern. But no worries, because that just allowed me to skip the hemming of the shirt, which is always a good thing.
There are many, many different options in each of these patterns! It is so fun to look through the PHOTO GALLERY of all the things people have sewn. Looking through the gallery is what really got me excited for the patterns.
Bailey is so funny with her modeling skills. I love that she doesn’t even look at the camera half the time anymore—I pretty much tell her when to do that and the rest is all her. She really likes the shirt—anything knit in her book is a win.
The little cap sleeves are my favorite of this shirt. Or maybe the high low hem. So cute. But don’t let the girly shirt fool you! Each pattern is totally unisex, and it is because of the many options given.
I modified the KIDS SHORTS pattern a bit to make them scalloped. I’m not completely sold on how they turned out, but they are a work in progress. I took tutorial pictures on how to modify the pattern, but I think until I perfect them a bit, I will hold off for now.
Overall, I am happy with this outfit and happy to have completed day 2 of the KCWC!

I was given the Pattern Anthology patterns for free in exchange for this post, however all opinions are mine. Dana gifted me the Kids Shorts pattern and they were a fun sew. Again, if I get the scallops to my liking I will perhaps have a tutorial for them in the future.
ADVENTURE TEE REVIEW
Pattern Pieces, Instructions, and Skill Level
The pattern printed out fine with no problems. The instructions were very clear and I didn’t get confused during the process at all. I feel like a beginner could easily tackle this project.
Sizing/Fit
I made Bailey the size 5 as I normally do with sewing patterns, but I should have sized up. I didn’t hem the bottom because it would have made the top super short.
Modifications to Pattern
I stuck with the pattern as is.
Fabric
I used a $1.00 clearance walmart shirt for the purple—it is a slinky knit but sewed up fine. The polka dot knit is ponte de roma from Girl Charlee.
How Long it Took to Sew
These numbers I can never be sure if they are accurate, but my guess is from start to finish, including cutting, it probably took an hour.
Things I Might Change Next Time
Lengthen it and size up. Although I love the fit of the rest so I would probably make the same size with a large size hem line (possibly the size 7 actually).
Wearability
Bailey wore it the rest of the day and the slept in it that night, so I’d say it was very comfortable.
Overall Impression
I love the shirt and all the options. I definitely recommend it!
