Attempting our Christmas Card Pictures

12/20/2010 By Christie

I took exactly 50 pictures for our Christmas card this year, and only 2 out of all of those had all 3 kids smiling and looking at me, not pulling faces, closing their eyes, scowling, etc :).

But I love them all of course!  We sure had fun.  I love these little trouble-makers of mine!

I’ll show you the one we used later this week!

Case in point:

Oh how I wish D would have either opened or closed his eyes in this one!  I love it still:DSCF3803

As soon as we were done, my boys ran away:DSCF3827

While B and I ran after them.DSCF3828DSCF3829

Any posts you see for the rest of the year are pre-scheduled, so I can spend some time with my family!  I’ll still be around, but I’m really excited because my kids have the next 2 weeks off of school and we’re going to have lots of fun together!  Merry Christmas!!!

I think they’re all fabulous! LOL
Their little personalities are shining through each photo. :o)

PS…I’ve Photoshopped every Christmas snap for the last 5 years. I snap, snap, snap, and then chop, chop, chop. Everyone’s smiling in at least one photo, and I blend those faces into one ‘perfect’ memento. LOL

I love how your little girl keeps up with her brothers! She looks like she could keep a person laughing for hours with the faces she makes!

Love the outtakes! I think you should’ve used the 2nd one as your card, looks like they’re pretending to be superheroes and fly away! My college son hates his picture taken, but my 11-yr-old daughter can’t have enough time in front of the camera, so family pictures are really fun for us!

We have the same problem…EVERY YEAR! Glad to see your boys sporting bow-ties…I made bow-ties for our pictures too! In fact just last night busted out two more for our week of Christmas activities!

Hahaha…ah that makes this momma laugh. Who spread the rumor that kids could behave during a photo shoot. We just had a similar experience just trying to get a Sunday picture shot.

    Love it!

    Only 50???

    ;)

    Don’t have a 4th kid. You’ll be pushing 200 pics.

I love the 7th pic… (I think it was 7. Where she’s trying to scowl at them.)

    What adorable photos!

You should definitely have a 4th kid if your kids get along and are as cute as they appear to be in these photos! :)

Your card turned out beautifully! Sometimes it’s the things that take the most effort that are the most precious!
