Happy Mother’s Day!!!

05/08/2011 By Christie

I hope every one of you women have a wonderful Mother’s Day and realize the important role you play in the lives around you, whether you have children or not.  You are still a mother figure to someone who needs you and looks up to you!

I have been blessed with a fabulous Mom, a wonderful Mother-in-law, an amazing Grandma, wonderful Aunts, sisters, and friends.  Women are AMAZING!  I am a better person because of the women in my life!

I also feel extremely blessed to be called “Mom” by these three.  I told my husband the other day that my dream growing up was to be a stay at home mom, and how happy I am that he has made that possible for me!

And after that sentimental bit…LOOK!!!  DSCF5929

The hubs sure came through this Mother’s Day!!! He always does of course, but AHHHHK!  I’m so excited!!!!   DSCF5931

I have a ton to learn, but I am eager to figure out how to use this thing.  At least bits and pieces of it.  But holy crap can this thing snap fast pictures. I found myself waiting for the camera to catch up, when I didn’t need to!  Because I have had to wait about 5 seconds in between pictures on my point and shoot!  But with this???!  This baby will take like 3/second! Woo-hoo!  No more missed shots of the kiddos!  No more waiting with the camera focused for just the right time to take the picture of my kid kicking the ball at a soccer game!  DSCF5933

I’ve really enjoyed my fujifilm point and shoot camera.  It really does a great job for the price.  But YAY!

Ok, well go celebrate being a woman!  I hope you’re day is filled with lots of pampering!

VERY nice Mother’s Day present. I know you will enjoy that. Oh that dreaded lag between pics on some of those other digitals. HATE that. I got a Canon a few years back for this very reason. What a huge change and no more blurred- what was that- pics. LOL

I was surprised earlier this week by a delivery hubby didn’t warn me of. He ordered this and never said one single word or even a hint until this huge box arrived. He got me the Accuquilt Go cutter and a new die too. I was thrilled but I can’t say it was for Mother’s Day as he doesn’t generally get me anything for this but I LOVE surprises no matter what and this was a very nice one too. Have a ton of fun with your camera. Your kids are going to start running when they see you coming soon because you’re going to be like me when I first got mine and practically live with that thing around your neck taking pictures of everything. LOL I guess if we don’t hear from you we’ll know you are out taking pictures somewhere. ha

Oooh, awesome! I’ve been prepping my husband for an upgrade to my DSLR, but he told me I have to learn how to use mine in manual first :). I think he knows that’s gonna buy him a lot of time! Hehe, hope you had a great Mother’s Day!
