Hawaii: Day Six

01/17/2012 By Christie

We woke up each day and enjoyed guava jam and POG.  Yum!

On Sunday we found and LDS chapel and attended church in Kona.  The people there were so friendly and had such a spiritual meeting!  I loved it.

What’s also neat about the church we went to is that the Kona Temple is right behind it!

Can’t argue with 85 degrees when it was below 30 in Utah!  We drove to the Hilo side again after church.  DSC_0129-1DSC_0147-1DSC_0160-1DSC_0162-1DSC_0181-1DSC_0215-1DSC_0219DSC_0232-1DSC_0234-1DSC_0237-1DSC_0255-1

Most of the pictures in this post are taken in auto, with no adjusting on them (I wish I had taken more on manual but we were just going going going and I didn’t want to miss a picture because I’m not fast enough on my settings yet!).  I was blown away that the picture below had nothing done to it—it’s just a true representation of the beauty there!

My hair + humidity = not friends.

I think we visited 2 more waterfalls after Akaka Falls.

And then there was that one time when Christie decided to try and be like Tarzan and the vine broke and she fell on her bum.

And now for my favorite equation.  Hawaii + humans = Healing.  For real.

Only one more day left of our trip to blog about!

You just brought back a lot of memories of my childhood living on Maui. I drank POG all the time it used to be in a red half gallon carton, before gallon jugs. They do sell the Hawaiian Sun guava jam at World Market. I love it!

The variety of products in Hawaii are amazing. My favorites are coco jam and pineapple jam.

Hawaii is one of the best tropical places in the world. I would love to visit Hawaii to experience these great looking and compelling spots in the wilderness. I’ve been to Thailand to experience the best beaches in South East Asia. I stayed in the Koh Samui villa, a small yet very luxurious. I wish I could visit Hawaii and stay in one of their luxurious hotels as well.

These photos not only showcased the beauty of Hawaii but the resources as well. Beaches are not the only spots that this state boasts, but the lovely beauty of nature as well. Hawaii is also a place of great holiday park and resorts. I wish I could come back and visit Hawaii soon.

I’ve never been to Hawaii yet. However, I’ve heard a lot of good reviews and feedback about this place. In fact, your photos show them all. They look enticing. With the different reviews and feedback, Hawaii seems like a comparable place to Australia. Both places offer great beaches and nature. Hawaii also offers affordable accommodations so as with the cheap accommodation Broome in Australia. I wish I could come and visit the place soon.
