Love You Forever Skirt on No Big Dill

03/02/2011 By Christie

love-skirt_thumb4

Katy from No Big Dill asked me months ago to participate in Once Upon a Thread.  I think it is the best idea and I’m really excited to see what other people come up with!  Did you see her coat yesterday?  Did you see all her designs for Project Run and Play, of which she was the winner?  A.M.A.Z.I.N.G.  Really, she is amazing!

If I had to describe Katy, her blog, and her style in just a few words, it would be unique, creative, attention to detail, and completely inspiring.   I really, really love her blog!   She is a really kind person, and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed getting to know her better by email!

You cry when reading the book, I cry when reading the post…oh dear…I’m a mess! I think I’ll have to make myself one of your tissue keepers to deal! In fact, you might need to make a tissue keeper to coordinate with this skirt because you just might get teary watching your baby wearing it. I’m sure I will once I get something similar made for my baby grrrrl.

Definitely one of my favorite kids books! My husband tries to ruin it by saying it creeps him out the way the mom is always spying on her son, but I still love it :).

your project brought tears to my eyes. i LOVE that book. I also LOVE both your project and Katy’s coat for the fact that they are both like a huge hug from mom to be worn around all day. <3
Your project inspired me, I think I’ll take a similar favourite book that also brings tears to my eyes and make my daughter something with that theme…

This is just amazing! Truly one of the best books ever. I would have to keep this when she outgrows it and make it into a little hanky for her wedding day. So sweet!

That skirt would be even cuter as a big girl skirt. :) I need to make one.
