What a fun year this has been!
My first original post on this blog (meaning I didn’t use a post from my family blog and paste it in here or backdate a post) was on January 28, 2010.
I had been posting more and more crafts on my family blog, and wanted to move them to a place where my friends and family weren’t forced to read them if they didn’t want to! I also wanted to see if I could get more exposure to my shop to aid in our finances.
Sabra had just started her blog and it really got me thinking how much I enjoyed creating things and sharing them with others. So, “A Lemon Squeezy Home” was born. My shop, started in 2008, is called Lemon Squeezy Shop so that is why my blog has the name it does :).
Throughout this last year I have learned a lot about myself. I’ve had many ups and downs concerning this blog and have definitely lost sight at times of what is really important in this life. Sewing and crafting are fun to me but I realize they are not life. They are just a part of my life that I happen to enjoy and love doing. There were (and probably still are) times I let them take over. One of the things I try and remember to tell myself is to not regret missing out on my family because of this blog. I have not been perfect, but I am getting better at organizing and prioritizing.
I have so enjoyed getting to know my readers, along with fellow bloggers. I have appreciated so many women and their examples and advice through their posts or emails. It has been really awesome to correspond with some of my favorite bloggers out there!
To thank you all for being so great this last year with your support, I decided to take these items you see below out of my shop and offer them as a free download to you. I do have some plans for my shop that I am excited about and will post updates next week.

Christie, Congrats on one year! Love your blog. ♥ I just started my own and I have to say I am feeling like I bit off more than I can chew. Good to hear that people (like you) who make it look so easy struggle too. Continued success!!

Christie, Wow! Congratulations! I discovered your blog about four months ago and it is my definite favorite! I admire you and your cheefulness and amazing creativity. I pass along your link to many of my friends who are crafty people. :-)
I’m a quilter and don’t stray away from that too much, but I love all the stuff you do.
I started my own blog on quilting, life, movies, books and movies, parenting and experiences as a teacher for the blind. I have returned many times to your blog to figure out how to do things.
Thanks for being my “friend” in your blog.
