one year older and wiser, too.

I don’t know about wiser, but I’m one year older today.

It’s funny how I’ve heard my whole life how your body changes so much at thirty, and not so much for the better!  But it’s all good.  My husband told me something funny to live by.  He said: If it’s all downhill from here, then every day you should wake up and say, “Today I look the best I will for the rest of my life.  I won’t look this good tomorrow so I might as well live it up today!”  Smart man, he is.

Life at thirty-one is great.  I am happy.  I am blessed.  And I feel more comfortable in my own skin than I ever have.  Despite the things I’d love to change physically (and PS, pictures on blogs can be deceiving because of course I’ll choose the better ones over less-than-flattering ones.  There are plenty of those!), I know what I can change and I’m working on those things because those are the things that actually matter.
