Scroll down for the child swimsuit giveaway! :)
Good morning! I hope your week is going great! We have been busy soaking in every ounce of this summer. It has been so wonderful! Swimming at least once a week, bowling once a week (in the summer at our bowling ally the kids bowl for free for just the shoe rental), reading together, and just playing together. We have 8 weeks of summer left and I am determined to make it the best summer we’ve ever had :).
“Whimsey Lane Apparel is for young girls and women who want to be beautiful, chic, and modest. Ever put on a “modest” dress thinking it will look great on you? Don’t look matronly, look beautiful, chic and modest with our clothing!”
Julia from Whimsey Lane Apparel asked me if I would like to review one of her swimsuits. Heck to the yes. Do you know why? Because I already had my eye on this swimsuit. It’s called the Avery Tankini (top HERE, bottoms HERE). I loved it when I first saw it on the Whimsey Lane Apparel Facebook page, and was so hoping that I would still love it once I had it. And SCORE! I totally and completely LOVE this swimsuit? Let me tell you why.
First, it’s very modest. I do not have to worry about any chest showing at all or too much of my thighs because of the coverage. There are also removable padded cups which I appreciate for the coverage and any help it might give me in that area. I love the comfortable wide straps. I love the ruching on the sides that tend to hide any problem areas—that along with it being the color black. I love the bottoms because they go lower on the sides and in the back. So I feel completely comfortable in this swimsuit! I will say that it might have been better to get one size smaller on the bottoms because they gape just a tad at my inner thighs, but guess what? I can sew, so I can totally fix that. :)
I’ve always wanted a black swimsuit. I’ve also always wanted an incredible tan to go along with that black swimsuit, but let’s just talk baby steps here. ;) Just kidding, I don’t purposely set out to tan anymore—I use the fake stuff but didn’t for these pictures and I have really cool tan lines to display.
Basically, I tried it on and did a happy dance because I was so thrilled with it. It’s basic but beautiful. It’s comfortable and pretty. It’s everything I feel like I’ve been searching for in a swimsuit for years and years. I know that sounds corny, but I think it is important to feel comfortable in your swimsuit. And this one allows me to move freely around with my kids and pick them up and play without fear of exposing too much. I think it’s a wonderful suit.
Here are a couple other suits you will find there:
Want to win an adorable child size swimsuit? You can pick from sizes 2T-10/12. So cute, right? And it would be so fun to match your little one if you were to have the Jane Tankini yourself. :).

That suit is great. It’s surprising how hard finding a basic flattering suit you feel comfortable in is. Seriously nothing worse than yanking on a suit while trying to relax or wrangle kids
