About a month ago I saw THESE ornaments on another website and thought I’d try and get a group together to get the discounted price (which I’m not seeing as an option anymore—likely because they are selling out so quickly!). I’m always on the lookout for making things more centered on the whole reason we are celebrating! I was a little hesitant to order them, but quickly realized how amazing it is that someone already did all the work finding the right ornaments and I don’t have to go hunt down every little unique thing. So I decided that it was totally worth the cost of the ornaments. Before we continue and just to make sure that you see this, **SHE SAID THAT THEY SELL OUT QUICKLY AND THEY ARE GOING FAST! SO IF YOU WANT TO ORDER, NOW IS THE TIME!** .
So I did the unfinished set and the above picture is what is in the box. I actually was able to paint for a bit with my sister while she worked on her set, so it was really fun–plus my mom was there too! Any excuse to hang out with my family is always a good one :).
Another good thing is you can let your kids be a part of making them. Bailey was itching to paint the animals. And since it’s for my kids anyway, it will be fun for her to say she helped pain them.
It did take a while to complete my ornaments! I’d say from start to finish at least 4 hours. But I feel like it was well-invested time. Here’s some close-ups of my set.
We were sure it was a wise man, baby Jesus, and a Shepherd. But the shepherd was the only one we were correct on. The other two have meanings from Bible verses.
To present, you put a different ornament in the red bag each day of December until Christmas. The kids open it and then read the corresponding scriptures or explanations in the book included.
So there you go! I’m really excited and my kids cannot wait to do this!
I was given this ornament set in exchange for a blog post. All opinions are mine. As I wrote in the first paragraph, I sought out the ornaments myself and was all ready to purchase one, but thought I would ask about an exchange.
