I enjoyed Meg’s challenge so much last time that I knew I wanted to participate again. I admit that I did get some of my sewing done last week for the challenge, as I had purse week coming up, and birthdays to sew for!
C has been wearing this vest, inside out, with the tag sticking out one side. ![]()

He’d button it from the inside. He just loved this crazy 80’s looking vest (but he still looks cute so I didn’t care how he wore it).
I just traced his current vest and used some instructions from an old thrift store pattern on a size 4 vest (he’s 7—and big). I love how it turned out. Actually, my favorite part is the buttons—it gave it a vintage look. ![]()
P.S. The dates on my kids clothes week challenges are all messed up, as I want Purse Week to end up as the first post for a few days. So I’m changing them to say something that isn’t the real date I published them ;) .
What a great vest! He looks really sharp.
Nice! I have a vest on my list of things to make. My boy is in the getting dressed up stage right now.
What handsome photos. You did a great job on this! A vest is so versatile and it is a great option for little guy’s dressup gear.
