I posted about these bow ties already yesterday and linked to the tutorial. I was going to mention–I think I like it even better with fleece rather than the felt. They are even more poofy and full.
The vests were made with the McCall’s 2332 pattern (also thrifted for .25 cents!). I added some fake pockets on the front–I’m sure that is the real term, right?
I have yet to add some buttonholes on them. Sabra‘s going to help me this time, after last time’s success. So I pinned one of them together and left the other one more casual looking. I do think I’ll make my older son a bigger one.
The fedora hats are from Target–I scored those for $3.24 a piece! I was stoked because I’ve been wanting to make them a cute hat. I couldn’t pass up that price though, so maybe someday the hat I drew up will be made.
They are sure stinkin’ cute though, don’t you think? We really had a lot of fun taking these pictures. They were mostly excited they got to use my new but very old typewriter. My older son was quite disappointed when we were done taking pictures!
