One of my goals this year is to try and give handmade gifts to at least the kids in our lives, since they are so easy to make for! Hopefully I can do this for many women as well. As far as guys go though…that’s a little tricky. I mean, my brothers? My father-in-law? There isn’t much that comes to mind that would interest them as far as homemade gifts!
So far, I’ve given a crayon roll, some glass tile pendants, some flower clips, and then yesterday, I followed a tutorial on Homemade by Jill for this Cozy Car Caddy. I enjoyed making it! My boys both want one now. Maybe for Valentine’s Day.

I do like her colors better. But I didn’t have any duck cloth, so I just used cotton and interfaced it. She doesn’t have any pictures of the velcro in the middle of the car. Since the boy’s name we gave it to started with an S, I had an S all centered on the car, and then BOOM, the tutorial said place the velcro in the middle of the car. I just couldn’t do it. So I shortened the strap and placed the velcro off-center.
(and just keepin’ it real, notice how there isn’t a full picture of 1-6? Well, that’s because my 1 slot was kind of a lot NOT the same size as the other slots–I sewed in too far on that side. Oops. He’ll have to find a skinny car for the one)

Seth totally has skinny cars! We’ve already found a few that fit. Thank you so much.
