Oreo Cookies Recipe

I was asked to share the recipe I used for the spider cookies.  They are easy to make and so yummy!  It’s not my recipe—I actually have a couple that are very similar from different people, so I’m not sure the original source.

OREO COOKIES:

1 box devil’s food cake mix

1/3 c. oil

2 eggs

Mix all ingredients together and form small teaspoonfuls into balls.  Bake at 350 degrees for 6-7 minutes, until the cookies poof and crack.  Careful not to over bake them.

Frosting:

2 c. powdered sugar

1/4 c. butter, softened

4 oz. cream cheese, softened.

Blend frosting ingredients together and spread between two cookies.

If making spiders, use licorice pull and peel for the legs, and mini M&M’s for the eyes.  I didn’t have those, so marshmallows it was!
