Hello my friends! Our computer has been broken, and I thought about blaming that for my lack of posting, but it’s just not true. The truth is that I have really enjoyed taking a break and spending lots of time with my family.
So, here is what I have been up to.
Potty training Little Miss B. Takes a lot of time and awareness on both our parts.
Kindergarten Graduation for this sweet boy.
C finished first grade and said the highlight of his year was field day the last week of school.
The kiddos helped me plant all our flowers. If only it would be summer here already!
Lots of soccer and tennis. The boys are both done with soccer after this week, but have decided they want to try tennis lessons next.
We threw in some bowling to celebrate D and C having a great year at school.
The hubs and I saw Sawyer Brown and Dierks Bentley in concert. In the pouring rain. So cold, windy and a little bit on the miserable side. I love Sawyer Brown though, so it was a bit less misery being experienced while they sang. Not a huge fan of the Dierks, but he has a couple songs I like.
Today we went to the zoo with some friends (they now have dinosaurs around the entire zoo).
Whoosh! So extremely busy these days! But hopefully now that school is out it will slow down a bit. I still have big plans for spending time with my kids, and I’m just warning ya now that this here craft blog has officially slowed down. It seems I’ve been wanting this for a long time and it’s good–I finally feel like it’s happening. I know I’ll get the itch to make something here and there and will definitely post about it when I do!

P.S. Adoption auction starting this Friday: Team Chase. Be sure to check out the wonderful items for auction there this weekend to help out this sweet family!
Hi
I got so inspired by your poppy dress and made my own, simple version. Thanks for sharing the tutorial. I guess you can’t read Norwegian, but please feel free to have a look at the pictures.

Haha, I feel ya. My hubby accidentally ruined our internet for a few days when he moved our TV, but when it did get fixed I was like hmmmmm… and stayed off for another day or two. It’s easy to get caught up, and nice to take a break!
Your zoo looks super fun, I love the dinosaurs! I’ve been to the one in Calgary, AB and it has dinosaurs too, and is super cool
You have so many inspiration things on here I can just search the archives while you take a break :) HOpe you enjoy the summer! Kristy from http://www.apronsandapples.blogspot.com
It sounds like you’ve been having a great time, that’s awesome! I think we may finally get our garden planted this weekend (fingers crossed!).
wow, you have been super busy!!! And it’s definitely okay not to be crafty all the time, slowing down is a good thing!
I’ll admit, being in Utah and away from my craft area/computer has its perks! I’m glad I’m not the only one enjoying a break :)
BTW, you’re like… supermom.
Christie, thanks so much for mentioning the auction! I really appreciate it!! :)

I LOVE Sawyer Brown!!! I’m so happy to know that they are still doing concerts, though I wish I’d known about this one. I would have been there in the rain with you.
=) Gayle
looks like you guys have been having a blast!
Where can we buy your Bakugan bag pattern? Didnt see it in your shop?
Laura, it’s there now. Thanks!
I need some advice! As someone with an excellent eye for design, (yes, you do clothing design work and I’m asking about interior design-ish stuff . . . but still) I’m hoping you’ll share your opinion with me!

Thanks!
Owen is going to start tennis in a couple of weeks too! How fun. Your pictures are gorgeous. It looks like you are taking to your new camera quite nicely. :)
And potty training…whoo. That is a lot of work. At least it was for me and Owen. Man…I don’t envy you. Reid is showing signs that he might be ready soon, but as for me not so much. :) I think about it, but just can’t bring myself to do it yet. sigh.
I think it’s great you’re slowing down. I still have the itch to create but I find that my family life and other areas of my life keep crowding out my time to craft and blog…which I think is a better balance. I do hope to make at least one thing this week though! :)
Have a good one.
Good for you slowing down, Christie! Your blog is one of my favorites- I hope it stays something that you enjoy rather than feel pressured by. Hope you keep on enjoying some nice time with your kiddos!
