Rae’s Buttercup Bag—for ME!

09/03/2010 By Christie

I’ve made two Buttercup Bags from the lovely Rae of Made by Rae.  They were gifts though, so I was finally able to sew one for me last night with some friends.

I love the bag!  The pattern was enlarged a bit to fit my needs as a mom of three:).

And seeing as how I bought this fabric to make the bag in APRIL, it’s nice to use it at last—and it’s orange for fall!  See?  It was just meant to be postponed this long, right?

I promised a tutorial this week.  And it’s done and even posted as a draft.  But it’s on another blog and I’m not sure yet when they are posting it, so for now, here is a sneak peek:

Hope you all have a delightful weekend.  Thanks for reading my blog, dear readers of mine:).

Enlarging a pattern is so smart, yet I forget about doing it to fit my needs. You have given me inspiration, thank you!

Darling bag! I could use one of those but it’s so hard to make time for ME projects, isn’t it? Good going working this in with everything else you have going on! Excited to see your tutorial too…

Cute, cute bag! I love the print and the little flowers you put on the side. I also how the bag has compartments! I’m always digging around my bag for stuff.

I have made and sold a bunch of Buttercup Bags in my etsy shop. Don’t you love the pattern. Also made the Gathered Clutch which is in my shop now. Don’t we have the best taste?
