Ruby Jane arrived June 5th, 7:58 am! We are all so completely in love. She is such a sweet baby.
She weighed in at 6 lb. 4 oz. and 19.5” long. So she’s just a teeny little girl. Dillon took some really great pictures—I was proud of him for doing so well! And this is only about a tenth of them!
My amazing doctor did a great job on the c-section, along with the others in the room—they all did great. This was the best experience out of the three sections. Though I am still very sore and walk like a really (really really) old woman, I am recovering well and Ruby is doing great.
Out of all four of my children, she was by far the saddest after birth. She had the whole room chuckling with her squawking. The funniest is when she didn’t cry for a shot, but then they put the beanie on her head and it was the end of the world.
I finally got to see her and hold her! Until then, I just had to watch through the little mirror you see in the picture two above.
We all just adore her to pieces. It’s so cute hearing the kids call her Ruby. Poppy calls her Ruby Ruby Rube. And they all sing to her.

What a blessing she is to us. We love our Ruby Jane! We are so happy she is home and doing great and we are so happy to have her in our family.

So beautiful! your photographer did an awesome job :) I had a teeny tiny 6lb5.5 baby. We had lots of poo dribbles until her legs chubbed up enough to match the size of the leg holes in the nappy!

And man don’t you go doing this to me, looking at these pictures and thinking oh man, that new baby thing, those overwhelming amazing feelings when you first meet your new sweet baby… maybe we should consider number four… ah! You’re killing me here! ;) Enjoy your sweet baby girl (I love that you have two sets of same-gender pairs!)and revel in the new baby smell (gone so fast! Jackson’s clung on surprisingly long but it’s well and truly gone now!) and turn a blind eye to the dishes and the laundry for a while. Blessings!!!
