(Ruby’s all, “Wazzup?”)
I love ottobre patterns! Ok, so I’ve only sewn one pattern from it, but I sure love to look through the pictures and dream. Someday I will buy the magazine.
I asked Sabra if she had any baby jumper patterns and she said she did in her Ottobre magazines. I saw the Villikko pattern in the 1/2013 and knew I had to sew it! It was just what I was looking for and bonus—it called for knit and I had ordered this fun tribal print from Girl Charlee. The fabric is her ponte de roma fabric and it is really nice and thick—I’ve already sewn a couple other things with this kind of fabric and I love it. (it looks like this one is out of stock but there are other great ones!)
Rather than sewing banded arm and leg openings, I opted for just hemming them because I wanted it to look less like pajamas.
It’s not the most girly of outfits, but I am totally smitten with it.
Or perhaps I’m completely smitten by the baby wearing it.
Or let’s just say both.
That’s all I’ve got tonight. Fist bump.

Your daughter is beautiful, such a cutie! The jumper looks so nice and comfy, where does one find the pattern? I have two new grandbabies coming in 2014 and these would make perfect little outfits!
