I saw an awesome idea for Candy Cane Suckers HERE. I liked it so much, that as soon as Christmas was over and candy canes were down to 75% off, I bought a ton of boxes. I planned on using the idea for my kids’ classes at school. I didn’t even think about how we can’t have homemade and unwrapped items!
So I had to think of something else to do with all the candy canes I bought (which was a lot!). My son C glued on his candy canes to make hearts. My other son asked me to make his and he’d sign his name on them.
And how’s this for planning ahead for St. Patty’s Day? I was actually looking for some clover seeds at Walmart in hopes that by some small chance they would have them. They didn’t, but they had these awesome looking seeds. Bells of Ireland! How could I pass those up? They come up after 7-14 days. Hopefully they’ll at least be green. You never know around here. Indoor plants don’t seem to like living in my house.
And finally, I have to give a HUGE thank you first to Disney at Ruffles and Stuff, for linking so many people here from her blog, her daily feature, twitter, and then emailing Kari at Ucreate. I am so excited that through them, many of you have found my blog. I really was very touched by Disney’s kindness in getting the word out, all just because she is nice:). And I was touched my Kari’s kind words and being the first “new craft blogger” feature on her side bar. Thank you so much ladies! You gals are awesome.
