Project Sewn

04/25/2014 By Christie

Project Sewn

Hey everyone, just real quick I wanted to mention that I’m a contestant in the amazing Project Sewn competition.  I’ve been sewing away as much as I can, but let me tell you it is HARD to make time to sew for myself when the projects take longer than kids’ clothes and you know, having 4 kids and all is definitely taken precedence.  So I sew at night.  Late.  Or early morning, however you look at it.  I’m really excited.  I haven’t sewn for myself in a while and it is so fun!  And I love Project Sewn so much for the inspiration.  Seriously, the other designers are wonderful people and I think it’s going to be so much fun to see what they make!  Wish me luck!  And you can check out my “meet the designer” post today HERE (along with my way too big picture! Oops!).  Have a fun weekend!

I hope that you have fun in the competition! I look forward to seeing your projects! I have a skirt (for me) half sewn waiting on the floor of my craft room right now. It just waits until I have a minute…it’ll be there for while. :) Totally understand the “children take priority,” thing. :)

Thank you Lynette! I’ll be happy to make it past the first round–there are so many talented ladies in it! It does take a long time to get a project done these days. I’ll just miss out on some sleep I’m sure!

Thank you so much Christina! and I think pr&p has it’s own challenges–for Project Sewn we can use patterns which is wonderful. I’m not sure how it works for pr&p but I always admire everyone’s designs there so much!
